5 Tips To Make The Switch To Daylight Savings Time On Your IPhone

Apple's iOS software makes it easy to adjust to daylight savings time. Here are five tips to make sure your iPhone is ready for the switch:

1. Check your settings

Make sure your iPhone is set to update its time zone automatically. To do this, go to Settings > General > Date & Time. If the "Set Automatically" toggle is off, tap it to turn it on.

2. Set a reminder

It can be helpful to set a reminder for yourself to adjust your iPhone's clock before bed on the night before daylight savings time begins. That way, you won't forget and end up with an iPhone that's an hour behind.

To set a reminder, open the Clock app and tap on the "Bedtime" tab. Then, tap on the "Set" button in the top right corner. On the next screen, set the time for your reminder and tap on the "Save" button.

3. Adjust your alarms

If you have any alarms set on your iPhone, you'll need to adjust them after the switch to daylight savings time. To do this, open the Clock app and tap on the "Alarm" tab. Then, tap on the "Edit" button in the top right corner.

For each alarm, tap on the "Time" field and adjust the time by one hour. When you're finished, tap on the "Done" button in the top right corner.

4. Set a sleep timer

If you like to listen to music or podcasts before bed, you can set a sleep timer on your iPhone so that it stops playing after a certain amount of time. This way, you won't have to worry about it playing all night and running down your battery.

To set a sleep timer, open the Clock app and tap on the "Timer" tab. Then, tap on the "When Timer Ends" field and scroll down to "Stop Playing." Finally, set the amount of time you want the timer to run for and tap on the "Start" button.

5. Check your calendar

If you have any events or appointments scheduled in your iPhone's calendar, you'll need to check them after the switch to daylight savings time. To do this, open the Calendar app and tap on the "Day" or "Week" view.

Then, tap on the event or appointment that you want to check. If the time is incorrect, tap on the "Edit" button in the top right corner. On the next screen, tap on the "Start Time" or "End Time" field and adjust the time by one hour. When you're finished, tap on the "Done" button in the top right corner.
